Tree or shrub, with thick thorns. Leaves 5 to 7.5 cm in length, elliptic-ovate, crenate; petiole narrowly winged. Flowers white. Fruit pale yellow, smooth, 5 to 7 cm in diameter. Juice sweet but insipid.
